Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Snorah ("the App", "we", "us") handles information in the Snorah mobile application. Please read it together with our Terms of Use.

1. The short version

The App records and analyzes the sounds of your sleep on your own device. Audio is processed on the phone. We do not operate an account system, we do not upload your recordings to our servers, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Your sleep history and any saved sound clips stay in the App's private storage on your device unless you choose to share or export them.

2. Information the App handles

Audio captured during a session. When you start a session, the App uses the microphone to listen for snoring. Audio is analyzed on your device to produce a Snore Score, a timeline, and short sound clips of louder moments. The continuous audio stream is not retained; only the short clips associated with detected events and the derived measurements are stored, in the App's private storage on your device.

Sleep results and tags. The App stores, on your device, your nightly results (score, duration, event timeline) and any factors you choose to tag (for example "alcohol" or "back sleeping").

Technical data you choose to share. The App does not automatically collect crash reports or analytics. If you contact support and choose to include it, limited technical information (device model, operating-system version, and App version) may be processed to diagnose your problem. This never includes your audio.

We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, or precise identifiers in order to run the core features. The App has no login.

3. Permissions

You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings. Revoking the microphone permission stops the core feature from working.

4. How information is used

Information is used only to provide and improve the App's features: to measure and display your snoring, let you replay saved clips, show trends over time, and help you see which tagged factors relate to your results. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent it.

5. Storage, retention, and deletion

Your sessions, clips, and tags are stored in the App's private, sandboxed storage on your device. You control retention:

6. Sharing

We do not share your information with third parties for their own purposes. Information leaves your device only when you initiate it, for example by exporting or sharing a report or clip through your device's share sheet, in which case it goes to the destination you choose under that service's terms.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to withdraw consent. Because your data is stored on your device and under your control, you can exercise access, export, and deletion directly in the App. For any other request, contact us at support@jiujiusoft.com.

Residents of the EEA/UK: our legal basis for processing health-related audio on your device is your explicit consent (GDPR Article 9(2)(a)), which you give before recording and can withdraw by stopping recording and deleting your data. Residents of Mainland China: sensitive personal information is processed only with your separate consent and only for the stated purpose. Residents of California: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA.

8. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly process their data.

9. Health data

The App is a general wellness and self-tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, screen for, or treat sleep apnea or any other condition. Snore-related audio and results are treated as sensitive information and are kept on your device. Health-related data is never used for advertising and is never written to a connected health platform without a separate action by you.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy as the App changes or the law requires. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, present the updated Policy in the App.
